Thanks again, Brandon. I really appreciate the diet tips and the resistance training ideas. What you've achieved in the last few years is really impressive and I'd be happy to accomplish something similar. I want to try and do this without trying anything too radical; the key factors will be better time management and healthier eating. I promise to keep you posted.

Go Jono, thats a great 1st task.
Although 11kgs in 27 days is a radical shock to your body. If u want to lose weight fast u have to do cardio (runnin etc) and RESISTANCE traing (weights) Where cardio only burns during and a little while after the exercise, weight training burns for up to 72 hrs afterwards. And u dont have to starve yourself or fast. Just make sure u feed your muscles protein like boiled eggs skinless chicken breast etc. I can seriously say I am in the best shape of my life at 36, and it is because of resistance training. I'm not even doing heavy weights, just for a little def and tone. I might not be as fit as when i left school, but shape wise I'm better now. Done a lot of reading bout all this lately and it is fascinating how ones body responds to exercise and diet.
For some routines with or without weights ( where u can use body weight) go to the menshealth.com site. lots there. Let us know how the 27 days progresses.

Thanks for the motivation, Vaughn! I'm glad to hear you'll be using your next 27 days wisely, too. I'd love to see at least one decent drawing that you complete in the next 27? And it had better NOT be of a liger; "a lion and a tiger mixed, bred for its skills in magic."

Brandon, you're quite right: learning to play the guitar, or learning another language - two things I would dearly love to do - could never happen in just 27 days. I'm not Rain Man. But I believe you can do an awful lot in that time! If I add up all the time I waste on a daily basis, it's a large number. I think Asterix would be proud.

The 1st starts on Monday. This degree of difficulty is not as important to me as the fact that I will be "finishing" some of the things I keep telling myself I will do, "one day."

So I've never heard of this theory before. Should be ok as long as there are no goals that take longer than 27 days ie learning to play guitar, unless u are autistic or something. You are really kind of putting yourselve "out there" to be examined.....like closely. Ofcourse, if you're wondering what makes an adult then you must go see the old man on top of some or other mount, but I doubt he will instruct u to complete 27 tasks, although that does sound very Asterix and all. Have a good one, oh and has the 1st 27 started yet?

If you don't make a deadline you have to buy us a six-pack. There's some motivation! :)

I'm exactly the same. I spend more time planning and thinking than just doing. I'm scared of getting stuck on the wrong track and only realising in twenty years, so I spend all my time trying new things instead of following through.

So my focus for the next 27 days at least will be on my drawing and CG skills. Feel like I've been neglecting my right brain, so it's time I did some visual thinking and actually stuck with it!
